Resin Bound transformation!

This was a beautiful Resin Bound job we did for Mrs O in Kingsteignton back in the summer, it took several weeks to get the driveway and patio completed as the August weather was not our friend…..but the transformation is remarkable and worth the wait!! Lots of hard work and planning went into it to come up with the right solution of what was wanted and needed. Mrs O is delighted with the results.

We started by replacing the old wall with a beautiful new brick wall in ‘Buff.’ The hedge on the edge of the driveway needed to be trimmed back so we decided to add a small wall to keep it all contained, it finishes the driveway off neatly and opens it up. We have re-designed the garden and the flower beds to tidy it up with a beautiful new path across the front of the house so the front garden is easily accessible. The driveway was originally concrete which worked out great as once we’d sealed the cracks applied a weed killer and primer c we were able to go straight over in in the stunning ‘Amber’ resin bound giving it the perfect look with the ‘buff’ brick wall. It seemed silly to make the driveway and garden beautiful so we discussed adding a new front porch, we think it looks fab, CP and DC Construction built & fitted it during the last few days of work.

Around the back of the garden was a mess! Mrs O loved the resin bound so much she decided to carry it on around the back but to mix it up add some block paving in to make a path and finish the edge to the garden. We discussed the design with Mrs O and came up with the above together. Lots of groundworks needed to be carried out on the back garden, we dug up and removed the old patio then laid a membrane sheet topped with hardcore, an open textured tarmac, finished off with a resin bound in beige to make a porous patio with the block paving design. We also added in an extra path so Mrs O can get around the side of her house. The difference is amazing.

It was only right that we replaced the fence to give it the finish it deserved!!
